The organisers of The Pageant at Royal Windsor Horse Show have announced that the subject of the 2020 Pageant will be the Edwardian Era, celebrating the triumphs of King Edward VII’s reign.
King Edward VII, known affectionately as ‘Bertie’, reigned at the turn of the 19th Century – a tenure that saw great change in Britain and abroad. Following on from the industrial achievements of the Victorian era, the Edwardian era was a golden age in art and culture, a time of social change and broadening horizons, and an age where travel, sport and entertainments took centre stage.
The Pageant will take place in the Castle Arena at Royal Windsor Horse Show, in the private grounds of Windsor Castle’s Home Park on the evenings of the 14th, 15th and 16th May 2020. Tickets are now on sale.
